The material used to produce the floatable earplugs is an addition-vulcanising silicone with a stable thixotropic consistency. And is highly physiologically friendly. Here are some more details:

The mixing and processing time refer to a room temperature of 23°C ± 1°C and a relative air humidity of 50%, being processed in an aural cavity of 37°C ± 1°C. Lower temperatures significantly prolong the processing time and higher temperatures accelerate the processing time.

This is equivalent to a Class 5 hearing protection. Note that SNR and NRR are not sufficient measures as they are primarily designed for non-custom ear defenders. It is obvious to think of the different qualities each person experiences with custom made hearing protection, as all ears are different. Many laboratories will test a large number of custom made ear defenders to find a generalized attenuation level.
